Playing with the musical term niente, which is a soft tone or sound that slowly fades to nothing. Here I'm attempting to use this term in photography as the subject is enveloped in snow. Though since still photography doesn't have a true sense in direction, you can't tell what is actually fading. Is it the subject that is being covered by the snow or is it the snow that is melting away? And so in a sense, neither the subject nor the snow is truly vanishing in the photograph. But as a melody fades into another, they together form a song, a visual melody on the verge of nothingness.
